i just viewed the pussycat dolls new music video Jai Ho(You are my destiny) on VH1 this morning.

jai ho is a hindi phrase(hindi is the national language of India). it means hoping to be victorious in the endeavor at hand. jai in hindi means ‘victory’.
but the phrase is also sometimes used to praise or applaud someone or some event.
