Wedding Poll????
I am planning my wedding and I am becoming overwhelmed over decor and details. Help me. Tell me what you think is nicer.
*Elegant and soft OR Glamorous and flashy
*Soft colors OR bright colors
*Traditional OR modern
*lots of slow dances(dollar dance, wedding party dance) OR
interactive dances(fast songs)
*Many different kinds of drinks OR plenty of the basics
*Winter, Summer, Spring,Fall?
Do people mind buffet (if it is good food)? The guest list is 400
so it would be really hard to do sit down dinner!
Any planning tips would help! Thank You.
Elegant and Soft
*soft lighting, sophisticated and classic, the bright and flashy weddings are rarely remembered as anything but tacky
Soft Colors
*Cornflower blues, sage greens, ivory, black, chocolate brown, soft gold, deep red, plum, these are colors that are elegant and beautiful. I am most certainly not a fan of hot pink in a wedding!
Traditional
*This appeals to people of all ages, whereas modern makes a lot of older people feel out of place. Traditional dances, ceremonies (to an extent, I think it’s perfectly acceptable to have two MOH’s or an outdoor wedding in a park), and wedding customs (white dress, subdued colors, elegant reception).
Both types of dances
*Have the traditional dances but have some faster dances for the younger people and so people can have fun.
Many different drinks
*Variety is always important. Make sure to have plenty of different drinks for different tastes and needs.
Fall or Winter
*A lot easier on the budget. Spring and summer are the hot seasons for weddings and tend to be much more expensive during these months. Not to mention, spring and summer have nothing on the beauty of fall.
Buffet is my preferred choice. I like to actually be able to eat something that will be filling instead of a plate with a few carrots on it.
