Does anyone else hate dolls?
Hi,
I don’t play with dolls , I’m 18
I wonder does anyone else have these feelings about dolls
I don’t like for them to stare at me
If someone has a doll around me I cover the dolls face
I hate the ones that talk , they could be talking in code
The laughing Elmo doll is really funny but he acts like he has mental health issues
This new doll Baby Alive, thinks she is a real baby
I also think they are useless, they can’t hold a participate in a conversation, they make little girls mothers too early.
I did enjoy playing with the classic cabbage patch doll when i was a kid, but still they are useless
When I was 15 my little sister had a Drowsy Doll. I came home from school and no one was home. From where I sat in the living room I could see her doll sitting on her bed. I saw that damn doll move it’s arms from it’s sides and place them in it’s lap. Drowsys have a string in their neck that you pull to make it say about 6 phrases. As I sat there freaked out because I saw it move, it said, “I’m bored”. Drowsys do not say that. I went into the bathroom, got a towel, covered it up and threw it in the closet. Then I went outside and sat on the front porch for hours until my parents came home. I didn’t tell anyone about it until many years later, then I told my sister. She said that doll gave her a bad feeling and she gave it away when she was about 8.
I agree with you about not giving dolls to little girls. In my opinion, it’s a sexist thing to do. Gives the message that they HAVE to be mommies. Like that’s all they are supposed to be in life. I feel that way about toy ovens and kitchens too. I also hate play make up and high heels. All this crap gives little girls the wrong message and self image.
