Is It True? (facts about WWII )?
My family is Serbian and while visiting i told my grandfather that my teacher said that “In WWII Hitler said that he wanted to invade Yugoslavia and how the French and British said no ”
My grandparents who were both there and saw everything and said that the French and British did help us-by sending childrens dolls in ammunition cases that were shipped to Yugoslavia. In WWI France did help , however the Russians did help with WWII.
My question is , how many people actually believe that France and The UK actually helped?
I plan on correcting her when i come back to school.

i have a whole family of people who were there and some of my family members were in the Yugoslavian army. i don’t understand how people could just read something in a book and believe it .
Yugoslavia was invaded by Germany 6 April 1941; France had surrendered to Germany June 1940, so was no longer in the war, so wasn’t in a position to help.
The German conquest and occupation of Yugoslavia was complete by 17 April,after just 11 days,so there was no time for Britain to help either.
Later,SOE and the British provided supplies,armaments,and logistical aid to Tito’s Partizans – but not the Cetniks – during resistance to the Axis occupation.
