I dont know why people give my such dirty looks and talk behind my back?
I am a young mother only 19 and every place I go where there are other moms I get looked at funny. I know I am young but I provide well for my daughter. I go to the park and the older mothers ask how I can afford what I have. Which is rude. The truth is I am a savvy shopper.
I shop Craig’s list and Goodwill Outlet and got things like this: Zooper Stroller: $60 Avent Bottles: 50 9oz $10 3 Baby Bjorns: $10 for all Peg Perego Stroller 2006: Freecycle. Tons of Tiddo dolls: Freecycle. & tons of Habba toys: Freecycle 2007 Britax Marathon: $30
They act like there jealous when there is nothing to be jealous of I dont have much money and I just want to give my daughter things that I may have not had. What can I say to them for them to stop giving me these dirty looks and rude comments.
What other reasons would they look at me?
First off congrats on being a great mom! I was 16 when I had my daughter so I know about the rude comments and looks . Like when people say I look young to be a mom I say thanks really do I look that young kind of sarcastically they usually shut up and back away or if they are rude and ask how I afford everything I just tell them be glad I’m not on welfare using your tax dollars so don;t worry about it. I know I’m being mean but some people are just so ignorant when it comes to young moms.Just because you’re young doesn’t mean you can’t provide for your children.
