Son wants a house for his action heroes. Ideas?
My son is about to turn five. He is suddenly into action heroes. He does not watch them on TV so he isn’t into all the gadgets, guns and gizmo’s. He just plays “guys” and mixes all the different brands up. For Christmas he wanted Power Rangers and Planet Heroes (by Fisher Price). But then he said he wanted a house for them like his younger sister has a dollhouse for her dolls. I wasn’t impressed with the Planet Heroes Headquarters. It seemed more just like a platform and he wants a house… seriously think he is thinking kitchen, bathroom, etc. I know there are plain wood dollhouses by Ryan’s Room and such but they are $100 or more. Don’t want to spend that although probably just the right idea. Any ideas? Any suggestions?
Honestly, I would look for a basic dollhouse. I teach preschool and I know my boys love our housekeeping area just as much as the girls do. Try looking on Amazon or ebay to see what kinds are available. I know when I was younger (I’m 22 so it wasn’t TOO long ago) fisher price made one that had all the different rooms you were talking about but it was designed like a regular house, not all pink and frilly like many of the dollhouses now seem to be. I’m sure they still make something like it (albeit an updated version). It was plastic but the heavy duty, durable kind like a lot of the fisher price toys. Actually, it’s still in the attic and in good condition (and I was the type that wanted to take everything apart). Hope this helps
