What’s a good romantic movie? (thnkn Nora Roberts or ’50s)?
Hi’ya,
I was wondering what you could reccomend as a good romantic movie?
I’ve appreciated that a few of Nora Robert’s novels have been converted into movies. And although they aren’t great, they’re still good enough to watch.
I also enjoy the old romance / musicals like Music Man, His Girl Friday, Hello Dolly, Rock Hudson/doris day comedy/romances.
Any suggestions for what I can try next?
Bringing Up Baby is very funny, it’s a comedy/sort of romance movie starring Cary Grant and Katherine Hepburn.
You’ve Got Mail starring Tom Hanks is pretty good.
State Fair, which is a Rodger’s and Hammerstein musical, is good but watch the version from the forties, it’s definitely the best (I think it’s the version with Jeanne Crain).
Sabrina starring Humphrey Bogart and Audrey Hepburn is really good and Roman Holiday which also star Audrey Hepburn is fantastic. Hope this helps!
