Where do you find a Kimono In Richmond or Vancouver, BC?
This is for my Wedding Reception, and im having a hard time finding anything on google on Stores that sell them!!!
Im NOT LOOKING for a cheap lil robe thing, im willing to spend a few hundred dollars
If you want something authentic, don’t mind shopping online, and don’t mind buying second-hand, try Ichiroya, Yamatoku, Kimono Lily, or Ryu Japan. You can also try eBay, but I would only recommend that if you know what kind of kimono you want, since just searching “kimono” brings up a lot of junk with the good stuff. If you want something brand-new, try Jshoppers.com, the international section of Rakuten, or Bokunan-do. If you’re feeling really brave and you don’t mind signing up for a shopping service like Celga or Rinkya, you can even try looking on the Yahoo Japan Auctions. But if you do that, be very careful — it appears that some of the sellers there are actually offering kimono RENTAL services. You also need to be careful to make sure you’re getting a kimono that is completed, not one that has to be finished (if you buy an unfinished kimono, you usually have to pay an additional fee to have it finished, and the fee can be quite high for formal kimono).
