I am so confused. Please help.?
I found a recipe for a BUTTERY KING CAKE in Cajun Cooking. It calls for a 1 inch plastic doll which I am to insert in the bottom of the baked cake before frosting it. No doubt but that this is a recipe to be used for a social occasion. The standard theme is that you cut the entire cake into pieces and whoever gets the piece with the doll, bean, or shrunken head has to kiss the cook, or kiss the birthday girl/boy, or maybe even have their head shrunken.
It’s a delightful custom….. unless you go for the shrunken head bit.
