My cat has a swollen face?
So i have two cats. A black and white rag doll who just had 5 kittens and a black siameese mix who is pregnant. When the kittens were first worn the siameese cat did something while mama kitty was away, well we came in the room together and the cat ran off and one of the kittens had passed away and been drug away from the box and on its back. So as both the mama kitty and i suspected she killed the kitten we wouldnt let her anywhere around the kittens. So mama fought her alot now for this reason. So yesterday prego came up to me and the right side of her face was swollen pretty bad, and there was a tiny tiny dot of blood on the temple above. I couldnt find any other scratches and she can eat fine and doesnt have a temperature. (checked on her under belly) Soo.. What should i do
Swelling indicates infection so you’ll need to get the kitty to the vet asap or it’s possible that the infection could spread to the kittens. I know you’ve probably heard it before but please consider getting your cats to a spay/neuter clinic as soon as the kittens are weaned, and definitely keep the momma cats away from each other and each other’s babies. Until you can get her in to the vet keep her face clean and dry. Good luck!
