New ragdoll 4 month old kitten, first night, kitty litter?

It’s our new kitten’s first night at our house.
He is 4 months old, male, chocolate point rag doll. The breeder dropped him over today. He has wet and dry food and water. Comfy cushions everywhere.. For a while he called out and searched around the house, but after a play he is chilled and floppy on the couch over my partner’s shoulder.

My concern is he has not used the kitty litter yet. We have shown him the tray and dug his paws into the litter but he hasn’t gone yet..

The breeder said he was kitty litter trained but he must be ready to go now that it is 10pm.. He brought him around at 7pm..

Should we wait for him to pee before we sleep?

Cats probably only pee twice per day so he may not need to go yet. If he is near his litter tray and you have shown him the tray then he will remember where it is and all will be well. Just leave him to get on with it – how would you like it if you went to stay with someone and they came in the bathroom to make sure you knew how to use the toilet properly?
