What kind of fondant tasts the best?
I will be making a princess doll cake for my (soon to be) two year old cousin’s birthday in about a month. I do have some experience with using fondant, but that was marshmallow fondant that I made myself. I will have just come back from college when we will be celebrating her birthday. I won’t have the time to make an entire batch of fondant, so I need to buy some. Unfortunately I’ve heard real fondant doesn’t taste very good, and that’s not a good thing especially for a two year old’s birthday cake. Any suggestions? Know about piping? Help.

Yes although plain Fondant is not as nice tasting if you ensure it is rolled thin then attach it after coating the cake in a tasty buttercream hopefully this should take some of the focus away from the Fondant. I love using fondant, it helps to create an almost perfect look and is a beautiful product though not everyone enjoys it’s flavor. You could also try Marzipan or Modelling Chocolate and coloring them to your desired tint….
