I am legend (Richard Matheson) help?
I was reading the book, it is the newer one with Will Smith on the cover, but is still written by the original author, Richard Matheson. I was on page 170, or around that page, when suddenly he is in a cell, about to be executed, which would be a decent end to the book, I guess. But then it keeps going. I read the next chapter, which was about a guy playing a ping pong ball game, then then next about a possessed doll wanting to kill a girl. So is the story over, or does the rest of the chapters really relate to the main point of the book? Please, only people who have read the book, not the movie.
The Original Version publish in 1954 is limited to 160 pages. In the most recent publications, the book contains various short stories bv Matheson (Buried Talents, The Near Departed, Prey, Witch War, Dance of the Dead, Dress of White Silk, Mad House, Funeral, From Shadowed Places, and Person to Person.).
Essentially the book ends with Neville’s death in the cell.
