Does anyone know where I can find a cheap,large display case for porcelain dolls?
I am a doll collector and I have about 14 dolls but I have nowhere to store them.They are all about a 1′ to 2′ high.
If anyone knows where I can find one it would be greatly appreciated.

Freecycle would be an excellent resource. Look in Yahoo Groups for your local group; it costs nothing to join and you can post requests or giveaways.
Other ideas:
Local School: Woodworking students need large projects. Check with your local high school/tech school for options. I know they have such programs for auto repair.
Government surplus & school surplus sales may include display cabinets.
Military Base advertisements. There are always units shipping in/out, and individuals with short-fuse orders (10 days notice). You can get spectacular buys on all sorts of items from clothing to cars.
Goodwill & Salvation Army thrift stores.
Discount furniture stores … the kind advertising bedroom suites for $200 (Furniture Factory Outlet, for instance). Those types of stores also have new display cabinets at ridiculously low prices. Also, one of our local furniture stores will haul away furniture when delivering new items. That used furniture is taken back to the store, repaired and resold. You might want to consider such an option for your display cabinet.
