Yikes… here goes.. She was made in 1961 She was created to give the appearance of a real baby who wriggled when you wound her knob. Ideal toys made her. She cost 12.99 She was made for ages 3-8 years old but I believe boys and girls played with her up to age 12. She was very highly in demand and was sold out that first Christmas. She was most popular in the USA but was also sold overseas. She was made later in the 80′s and 90′s when CBS/Tyco bought Ideal but she was cheaply made and did not wiggle.Did not look at all like the original. the early doll is very sought after by collectors and is quite valuable. She is definitely a classic toy. She has a wooden knob in her back and when wound she would wiggle around like a real baby. Hope that helped!
