i have a 9yr.old Ficus Tree in pot can it be placed in ground?
its getting pretty big. the pot its in needs to be moved by a dolly. if there is any way for ground planting, i’d appreciate the info.the roots are showing at the top of soil. i just cant handle moving it all the time
It’s a tropical. If you never have any winter, then yes.
For me (in ohio), definitely not.
If it ever freezes where you live, you might consider, next time you need to re-pot, prune the top by at least a third, and do the same with the roots. Then use the same pot, or actually consider root-pruning enough to put it into a smaller pot.
