Gender roles with kids?
This is kind of a survey for a paper i’m doing. Would you let your son any where from age 2 to 9 play with barbies, dolls, or any other “girls” toys? What about playing dress up or wear a dress or skirt etc? Why or why not? Would you buy him “girls toys” or clothes if that is what he really wanted? Why or why not please explain? Would you let your daughter play with trucks, toy guns, or any other “boy” toys? What about playing dress up in boys cloths or wearing boys clothes? Why or why not? Would you buy her “boys toys” or clothes if she wanted them? Why or why not?
Even if you don’t have kids answer thinking about when or if you have kids.
For the record I know toys don’t turn kids gay or anything dumb like that, I am gay and know I was born this way.

Yea, I’d let them go for it. When I was about six, I started despising everything pink. I threw away all my pink shirts and pants and I replaced it with jeans with lots of pockets and t shirts that had like dragons on them. If I had a daughter or son that wants to do the same, I’d say go for it. As long as I knew they would play with their toys I would buy them. If a had a son that wanted to wear make up I’d let him, if he wanted to seriously wear make up to like go out and not just for play, I’d make him be a certain age, but I’d let him.
No one should restrict their childrens wardrobe or styles. Let them be who they want to be. I’d draw the line at short skirts and just general sluttiness, or jeans that were so baggy the were around their ankles, those just aren’t cool.
