Please Help with Alg. 2 worksheet? Polynomials?
I need some help on an algebra 2 worksheet. I am confused about these questions. If you give me an answer, please back it up. Thanks! Oh, and I will choose a best answer.
12. Simplify.
If P(x) = 9x + 5 and Q(x) = -2x^2 – 4x + 9, find P(x) – Q(x)
20. Simplify.
If P(x) = x – 3 and Q(x) = x^2 – 6, find P(x) times Q(x)
25. Solve.
At the end of T years, the amount of money A in a savings account earning simple interest from an initial investment of P dollars at rate R is given by the formula A = P + PRT. Write an equivalent equation by factoring the expression P + PRT.
28. Find the GCF of the list of monomials.
14x^5, 56x^9
Thank you for the help. I really appreciate it.
12.
P(x) – Q(x)
= 9x + 5 – 2x^2 – 4x + 9
=2x^2 + 5x +14
20. P(x)Q(x)
= (x – 3)(x^2-6)
=x^3 – 6x – 3x^2 + 18
25. Just factor out the P.
P + PRT
= P(1+RT)
28. Greatest Common factor: 14x^5 because it can be multiplied by 4x^5 to get 56x^9
