
what is japanese shinto miko outfit consistent of?
I want to make a miko doll
I want clothes to be like real thing in detail
I don’t know how a miko outfit is really worn
Please describe the layers.
The white shirt, is it kimono? How long is it?
An undershirt layer is always visible at the collar area. Is that another shirt? How long is it?
A traditional japanese underwear must be worn? Nagajuban, hadajuban, that kind of thing?
Any pants under the hakama?
Please describe the clothing, because even if it turns out to be too much detail to make for a doll clothing, I would still want to know more of japanese traditional clothing, and miko clothing, because I think they’re really beautiful and I would like to know more
ABJD doll?
I think there are numerous images online but from the quick research I did a lot seems to be coming from the Manga drawing books, not sure how authentic that’s going to be.
If your question is about BJD then try Den of Angels as there are a heck of a lot of very good and knowledgeable seamstresses on that site that are likely to know. In fact try DoA anyhow as they are pretty knowledgeable about japanese dress as most of the dolls are japanese made and manga based.
Other than that some books from the library on traditional japanese outfits might be a good starting point.
