Are my barbie dolls worth something?
I have two barbie dolls. Both have the Mattel marking on them. I know they are older because my grandma bought them a long time ago. I cant seem to find pictures of either one. Neither have a box, but are in great condition. Here is a short description of both:
One has tattooed Mattel 1966 on the back. The outfit has a tag that says “Designed by Kitty Black Perkins”. Straight arms. Tall pink gloves and full length pink dress. Blonde, short curly hair.
The other one says “Mattel 1966″ on the back as well. The dress has a tag that says “Genuine Barbie”. This one has a fancy deep purple/indigo dress on and bent arms. Medium length strawberry blonde hair.
All help and tips are appreciated!
The 1966 doesn’t mean the year of the Barbie, it means the year of the copyright of the doll’s body.
The first one is probably Evening Extravaganza Barbie, designed by Kitty Black Perkins in 1994.

The second one is probably Embassy Waltz Barbie

I hope this helps, if they actually appear to be vintage dolls, that’s another story… let me know and I will search harder
