Where to find a pattern for “Rusty” doll?
My grandmother made me this doll when I was a toddler. The one I had wore a white dress with red apples on it; matching bloomers; had black hair (yarn sewn onto head to appear curly) and oval-shaped green eyes. My sister had one that had yellow yarn hair to appear blonde, with blue eyes and a yellow floral dress and bloomers. The doll on the pattern package picture had rust-colored hair (hence the name “Rusty,” green or brown eyes (I can’t remember which), and a lavendar dress. I believe they also had matching booties. I loved this doll, and want to make one for my daughter; my grandmother had given me the pattern but I believe it may have been stolen. I believe the pattern was given to her by my great-aunt, and was from the 1970s or earlier.
just enter doll patterns in your search engine, you may not find the exact one, but ive seen dozens of doll patterns designed very similar to that one. good luck, i just designed a new one myself if you are interested ill try to take a pic and send it.
