Does anyone know where I can find a hanukkah elf or hanukkah fairy?
My daughter really wants a Christmas elf, but we don’t celebrate Christmas. Hanukkah instead. We live in Atlanta and the elf dolls from the website www.elf-magic.com are really big here. Thanks
Explain to her that the two holidays are totally unrelated, explaining the meaning and history of both.
If she still wants it, buy her the Christmas elf. Can it really do any harm?
Personally, I am disgusted with the amount of emphasis placed on Hanukkah by the gentile merchants who have no understanding of this minor holiday. (I didn’t say it’s unimportant, just not nearly as important as Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur and Passover.) I have seen piles of decorations andstuff being sold that look like Christmas decorations colored blue and white. I’ve even seen Hanukkah STOCKINGS!
