Kroger Dollar Movies

kroger dollar movies
Why do you have to be 18 to rent movies?

I went to a blockbuster the other day to rent a movie. I go up to the register to pay and she asks me if i have the membership card thing, and i say no. So, I asked if i can get one she asks how old i am and i said 17 she says soory you have to be 18 to register.

its the same way with the dollar-a-day movie rental machines.

I find this to be wrong because i can get into an “R” rated movie by myself and buy “M” rated games so why can i not rent a stupid movie that i ended up buying at the Kroger right down the road.
i tried to use my dads membership but they said that i would have to have my dad with me
i have my own debit card with MY name and MY signiture on it. I cant do half of that without my parents name next to it

Because when you sign up for a membership you are signing a contract that says you are responsible and will return their movies. You are still a minor and minors cannot legally enter binding contracts. You should’ve just used your parents account.
