Do you have a child hood Christmas memory that stands out in your mind?
I remember a Christmas when I got a doll and a baby buggy that was almost full sized. I loved that baby doll. I remember another one when I got a watch, and a musical jewelry box to keep my watch in. I remember the Christmas meals and the smells, The only time we ever got fruit was in our stockings once a year. We would get oranges, apples and tangerines.We had multi colored hard candy, and nuts as well in our stockings.
One year my older brother told me and my younger brother that he had seen where our parents had hid our gifts. He was 13 & (I was 12) & he was watching us while our parents were out shopping.We got our gifts down from the shelf in their closet ,and looked at our gifts, (they weren’t wrapped yet) My brother told us that we had to act surprised. I also got a beautiful musical jewelry box, that had a dancing ballerina in it. I got a Barbie doll record player and some 45′s. But we really spoiled our own Christmas by looking days in advance.I learned my lesson never to sneek a peek at my presents before Christmas ever again.
