what is an appropriate gift to give my niece for Hina Matsuri “girls day”?
my little niece is 1/2 Japanese,& 1/2 American & just the sweetest little girl you ever saw
any way “Hina Matsuri” or “girls day” is very important to my sister-in-law.
I would really like to get my niece something traditional/appropriate for the holiday in honer of my family’s new culture but I am not sure what. I know about the dolls but I read that those where supposed to come from her mother/grandmother so I was thinking maybe a cherry or peach bonsai tree? but I am not sure am I trying too hard?
Ps. my niece is only 1yrs old
if anyone familiar with Japanese culture could weigh in I’d depreciate it
I think that a cherry or peach bonsai is very appropriate but definitely dont think that hard about it the girl is only 1 she wont remember at all
