How to receive electronic deposit of US dollars into my ICICI bank account in India?
What is the process of receiving payments/funds electronically from the US directly into my ICICI bank account in India? I gave the US company my ICICI Bank’s SWIFT code but they said it didn’t work? Do I instead have to give them the SWIFT code of some correspondent bank of ICICI Bank, which is located in the US itself? If so, which one? Anyone who knows the exact process one has to follow to receive funds electronically from the US into their ICICI Bank account, please let me know. Thanks.
Double check that the SWIFT code is correct with your bank in India. Also be SURE to include the bank’s branch and and number if that info is called for. If the Bank in India has all of that information for you, then yo should be able to receive it from the bank in the US. Some US banks simply do not have the capacity to transfer internationally….check that out as well. I had a HUGE problem making them understand in the US (I am American) and finally the dumb teller said, “Oh, we don’t do international transfers). So I had to take the money to a bank that did. (the bank that did not do the transfer was World Savings). Good luck
