hello dolly auditions?

i am trying out for the part of ermengarde, do you have any suggestions on what i should sing for the audition?? also what is her personality? could you give me a breif description on the character??

Ermengarde Vandergelder is an alto according to what I’ve read. (I have no clue personally, I’ve only seen about half the movie and don’t remember a thing about it…maybe someone else can comment on this.) Anyway, Ermengarde ist he 17 year old niece of Horace Vandergelder; a real whiner with a funny cry. Some alto songs I suggest are:
