Hello Dollies Bars

hello dollies bars
I need a good audition song for my high school musical tryouts?

Musical we are doing:
Hello Dolly

My Vocal Range:
Alto/2nd Soprano

I’m supposed to tryout with a song that will show off my vocal range. The tryout will be 26-32 bars of a Broadway song

suggestions anyone?? (I’m not in choir, so getting in touch with the choir director would be hard)

Also, we are supposed to bring our own minus track, so I need a song that would be easy to find.

thank you!!! :)

If you really want something easy to find, you’d have to do something from Phantom or Wicked or something really over done. Do you know someone who could play piano for you? If so, you could get the sheet music to almost anything. Then you wouldn’t have to worry about doing an overdone song. You could do “I’m Gonna Wash that Man Right Outta my Hair” from South Pacific, “The Simple Joys of Maidenhood” from Camelot or “Rainbow High” from Evita. There are a lot of options for your range so I suggest you look around to find one that suits your individual voice. Whatever you choose, Good Luck!!!
