How can I get rid of my dogs hot spot when nothing has worked?
My dog has had this spot on her hip that she has chewed at since she was very little. I have tried everything and she keeps going back to the same spot about the size and shape of a half dollar. It breaks my heart and makes me look like a horrible dog owner! Many vet visits. Tried cone, oatmeal baths, sour tasting spray, excessive exercise, no mange.
Sulfodene Medicated Shampoo was a miracle for my dog. she had hot spots for years and nothing worked. she’s lick and chew all night long. i tried everything. the oily yellow Sulfodene solution helped a little but the medicated shampoo was amazing. i started giving her baths with it about twice a week and within a couple weeks noticed the small spots vanishing and the bigger ones getting smaller. after a few months, all spots were gone. i made sure to give her a bath at least once every two weeks and it kept the spots from returning. i can’t say enough about how much and how quicklyl it helped. her quality of life jumped. good luck!
