Barbie took on the style and sophistication of the decade’s most famous trendsetter at this time. Who was she?

The haircut/style was called a Bubblecut. Not sure who it was based-on, but in the mid 60s Mattel started modeling dolls after Twiggy. However the Bubblecut was introduced in 1961, 5 years before the Twiggy-influenced dolls were released.
