What would make a good (Tim Burton-ish) wind-up doll Halloween costume?
I really want to create a look that is twisted, yet not provocative or too gothic. I’m thinking of a wind-up doll costume that would be unique and dark, and that would be relatively cheap to pull off.
You could make a wind-up key from aluminum foil and use string to hold it upright somehow…make a belt or straps like a backpack. As for the rest, buy a corset from Hot Topic or wear a dress of some kind…then to pull of a twisted look you can get a face-paint crayon or washable marker and draw stitches on your face (after powdering it white like a doll!).
