Gi Joe Movie Rating Pg
September 14th, 2009 by admin

What the hell is with movies these days?

It seems if society were to pick either sex or violence in movies, it would be violence.

For example, the GI Joe movie is coming out, the Eiffel Tower is blown up in the previews, along with a sword fighting scene against Cobra. Yet this is rated PG-13. Wouldn’t so possible during the production code era

Or take ‘Rambo’ for instance (the newest one). That has got to be the goriest film I have ever seen. Seriously. Yet it passes with an R.

The point is that there are other movies which many of you know as ‘porn movies’. They show people having sex, stupid plots, and they get an X rating. The most Hollywood gets to at nudity is at mostly light, with only kissing involved. The only broad sex scene I’ve seen in a real movie is in Predator 2, I don’t know any others.

My main question is: Does it seem violence is being accepted more than sex?

I think it’s pretty odd that we as humans would want to kill more than love.
forgot *be* in the first paragraph, sorry

You should watch a documentary called ‘This film is not yet rated’. It will provide some surprising insight as to the criteria used to rate any given film. It’s all a big joke.
