Do you think the kids would mind a joint present for Christmas this year?
I have 3 older siblings and 13 younger ones (long story, i’m not going into details about why there are so many) but Christmas gets a little expensive sometimes for an 18 yo with minimal funds. So i was thinking this year to do like 3/4 joint big presents instead of 13 small ones. like for the 3 older boys (15, 13, 12) do a x-box game (not the console, just a $30 game), the 3 older girls (17, 14, 11) like a hair curler/flat iron set or something. then the 4 younger girls (ages 2, twin 6, and
i’m having trouble coming up with something cause what can you get a 2 yo that a 8 yo is gonna like as well? and then the 3 younger boys (9, 7, and 3) like a couple big army guy star wars hot wheels GI Joe sets.
what do you think? any ideas for the girls?
(and i know kids don’t like to share but they will all have a lot of individual gifts from aunts uncles parents grandparents and each other).
thanks for any advice
a house with 14 kids in it, we share EVERYTHING
Not knowing the whole story behind all the kids, the way I see it is that they are Very lucky to be in a house where they are loved. If I were you, I wouldn’t stress about gifts. I know you would like to give gifts to your kids and I think it would be great for them all to have their stockings all hung with treats inside and a yummy Christmas breakfast with all their favorites, they are already getting individual gifts from other family members, why don’t you take this year to start teaching them about giving. Most of the kids outside of the 2 and 3yr olds would probably enjoy doing something nice for someone else. Baking cookies is always a nice treat and a great way to bring the family together in the kitchen. Good Luck, Get Creative and Happy Holidays!
