Need help finding a movie.?

There was a movie when I saw when I was young, I would say early 1990s or late 1980s. All I can really remember is a part when this boy had some action figures (GI Joes?) and they left them in the yard and it was sort of scary I think and one day it was pouring rain and they went out to get them but there was like a mudslide that happened and something happened to one of the kids.. No clue what this movie was called can anyone help?

yes it was called “the boy who could fly”….great movie with jay underwood….fred savage played that little boy….he had buried his gi joes in the back yard as in a “cemetary” because they were “casualties of war”…..he went out to get them while it was raining and couldnt find them so his mom went out to help him
