I don’t know what you mean by the second question.

‘a mini disk player is priced at £75. It is put in the sale at 15% off

- what is the new price – how do i do that?’

current price: £75
new price: £75 – (15% of £75).

This means the new price is 85% of the old price, so you just multiple 85% by £75

new price: £75 * 0.85

Area of a circle is: Pi * r squared
R is the radius (half way across the circle/half the diameter).

gbp

(£) 1 =

usd= 1.82
euro= 1.43

A french company is buying goods in the uk. They change 1000 euros into gb pounds. How much will they get (to the nearest pound).

£1 = €1.43

So you want to get it like €1 = something, so you divide both sides by 1.43 to get

€1 = £0.70

€0.70*1000 = £700.

£750 in dollars is simple. £1 = $1.82

So therefore, multiple both sides by 750 to get
£750 = (1.82*750) = $1365
