How do you clean porcelain dolls hair and clothes?
I am an novice collector of african american porcelain dolls most are period era dolls {circa: turn of the 19th century}; I enjoy them but they get dusty and their clothing and hair, how can I remove the dust without causing damage to the dolls and their clothing. In the coming months plan on purchasing a curio cabinet to store them properly in but for now and for the last yrs. they have been proudly displayed on my dresser, thank you for your help…..
Regular baby wipes will do the trick. As far as the hair, a canned air duster will work on that. Aim from at least 8″ away or you risk messing up the hair.
