Boy want to take dance class. What would you do?
My nephew is a sweet boy and has expressed an interest in dolls, dressing up and dance lessons. His mom and dad don’t earn a lot of money and I offered to pay for ballet lessons and his shoes and tights. They are thinking it over, but I told them I would cover all the cost. I think they should ask him if he wants to take ballet. If they don’t should I? It’s my money after all.
I totally admire male dancers, they are so brave and courageous for standing up to others and doing what they want to do. I know a few guys who are in there teens now and still dance, and LOVE it.They are honestly the most amazing people i know because of what dance has given them, confidence and so much more. They started dance when they were around 4 or 5, and haven’t stopped. Please explain to your nephew’s parents that this passion wont be dropped. I would take him to a dance class just to watch, so he can decide if that’s what he wants to do. It can get expensive, but it will give him confidence and will build a great character for him.
I really wish my parents had supported my dance when i was younger, so i could still be dancing now. I have been however inspired by my dancing male friends to start dancing again, and i hope to do so soon.
please encourage him to do whatever he likes. It can be a great step up in life.
