I have a great dane 10 month old puppy that just got diagnosed with parvo He has his shots?
About a week ago my dog became very tired and vomiting I took him to vet and 298 dollars later they said very healthy . NOw he is in critical condition with the parvo virus and has had his shots He does not look good in hospital on floor because of size he is shacking and he is being givin a iv drip. I dont know how he got this ? any ideas and what should I do I have a nother dog in the house a 2 year old yellow lab but does not seem to be sick. I am sterilizing the house now with bleach and also my dane has a very exspensive bed should i clean it or throw it ? thanks for any ideas you have thanks again darlene
It is very rare for a dog to get parvo if it has had all it’s shots.. Did he get at least 3 vaccines 3-4 weeks apart?
Did they do an actual parvo test? Well because of his age he has a good chance of beating this.
I would throw out the bed if it cannot be put in a washing machine with bleach.
However, it can stay in your yard for up to 8 months..Sometimes longer, but the rule is 8 months.
