Why do they call Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu ‘Da S’ ???
It’s seems like i’m the only Chinese Entertainment fan in the planet who hasn’t never understood this whole ‘Da S’ thing??? I see everyone calling her that on blogs, news, articles… Thanks for the replies everyone- I understand now. Peace.
When she first started her singing carier, she started it with her younger sister and call themselves as “Sister of Su”, SOS. Since both of their surname is the same (Xu), in order to differentiate between her and her sister, they (I don’t know who started it first) call her as “Da S” (Big S) and her sister as “Xiao S”(Small S).
