Currency Exchange Dinar Dollar

currency exchange dinar dollar
Will SunTrust deposit Iraqi Dinars I give them into my checking account?

My brother gave me 1,635,000 in Iraqi Dinars and I want to convert them to US Dollars tomorrow. Can I take them to my local SunTrust branch near Washington, DC and deposit them into my account? How does it work and is there a fee? I know nothing about currency exchange – never even left the country before. I’ve been trying to find the answer to this question all night, so if anyone knows for sure please help! I really could use the extra cash right now!
Turns out I had to go to a money exchange place downtown and got a rate of 1439.89/1 which wasn’t too far off the official rate.

Ask the bank.

They might be able to send the money off for conversion. They can tell you the fee.

If this is CURRENT Iraqi currency 1.6M is around $1000.

However, if the currency is unstable, it may impossible to convert it anywhere outside of Iraq.
