Do you think it would be alright to curl a 5 year olds hair?
She’s my niece, and we’re going to a wedding this weekend. I told her I was going to curl my hair, and since she’s adopted me as her official-living-barbie doll and wants to be with and do everything just like me, she asked if I could curl her hair as well. If I use a heat protecting product and a low setting, do you think it would be alright? I’m just a little worried because little girls have pretty thin hair.
Yep. I have a 5 year old sister, and I treat her to “beauty salon” every now and then. Her hair is still in perfect condition… I know that it seems fragile because it is fine, but natural hair that hasn’t been touched by chemicals is actually very strong. I’ve also worked for a couple of years before getting my license in a children’s salon doing girl’s updos… I have never seen their hair get singed or broken off.
You’re right on the money with using a heat protectant… make sure the hair is dry, though, before applying the heat. Keep the heat below 250 degrees. Have fun
