Coffee cart worker accused of me of passing a counterfeit bill over a week ago, what do I do?
We have a little coffee and snack cart at my school. Today I went up to it to grab a sandwich, and the guy who works there stops me. He pulls out a counterfeit twenty dollar bill and accuses me of giving it to him over a week ago, and that he didn’t call security because he wanted to talk to me first. I personally never have and never will do that sort of thing, and I neither admitted to it nor denied it, I just walked away. He wanted me to give him a real twenty and take that back to where I got the change, which was at school in the cafeteria where I broke a (legitimate, guy inked it) 100 dollar bill.
So question is, does this guy have anything on me? There is no one who saw that transaction, all he has is his word against me, and he accepted it without testing it. The bill he showed me looked like an older design too, but he wouldn’t let me have a close look at it, and I really think it’s fishy. I am thinking of going to the campus security myself. What is going on here?
No, it is his word against yours.
How do you know it is your $20 and not anothers?
If someone comes and talks to you, just tell them you have no idea what they are talking about and that you would no more pass a bogus $20 then kill your grandmother.
And stick to it.
Then never buy from him again.
For him, it is the cost of doing business and he should be more careful in the future.
Peace
Jim
