A question for any Satanists out there?
Do you, as a Satanist, believe that Criss Angel (the illusionist/magician, his TV show is Mind Freak) is partly for real?
I started wondering this because, putting aside Criss’ sense of style, music interests, and types of illusions/tricks he does (i.e. voodoo dolls, stopping his pulse at will, etc), I heard that Charles Manson (a Satanist) was known to suddenly disappear and then appear quite a distance away from his original spot. (Kind of like disapparating in Harry Potter haha).
What is your opinion on Criss Angel? Might he be a clever, disguised, intelligent Satanist?
When I say do you believe Criss Angel might be “for real”, I mean do you think he could be ACTUALLY doing some of his illusions, like levitating?
AIRPLANE WIRES. ? Some of the places he’s levitated seem like odd spots for those.
Oh yeah, Criss Angel relates to the Charles Manson thing because Criss has “disapparated” too. (JK Rowling would be proud)
Okay, number one Charles Manson does NOT, in ANY WAY, represent ANY form of Satanism, whether Laveyan or any subset of Theistic Satanism. Many deranged people and immature people love to say they are “satanists” to shock and scare people- ignore them. Satanism is a philosophy of the realization of the self and the self’s true potential, which is limitless and not governed by some external being. Laveyan Satanism takes an atheistic approach to this- theistic a spiritual. All about pure individualization and personal responsibiliy for all things in life (no “Satan made me do it” child-like blame games)
Number 2, a true Satanist would have no desire to go and show “magical abilities”. Magic is not what hollywood makes it out to be- not some “Watch me shoot a fireball!” There is fantasy, and there is reality- choose which one you would like to live in. Criss Angel employs camera tricks on much of his stuff. Many of the people on the streets are probably plants and are paid to say “OMG, what in the world?!?!” It is a television show, not a documentary.
