Antique doll identity?
I have this old doll, possibly an antique. I don’t know who the maker is. The doll has markings on the bisque(?) or porcelain (?). The markings are located on the back and look like COD98-1DEU. There might be some more but its beneath where the leather like body is glued to the bisque. I have added a link to the photos. Any idea what she’s worth or who made her?

This is a doll from 1890′s. She appears to be German bisque. The difference between Bisque and Porcelain is Porcelain has a glaze on it, like plates or china heads,
She is what we call a dolly face because of the smile and open mouth, the mold number says 98 and my book of German marks says Hertel Schwab from 1910, Character Baby But she is not a baby so I am going to guess that the 8 is a 3 to make the mold number 93 which would make her an Armond Marseille 1892 the cod stands for Cuno and Otto Dressel this is a shoulder head mold number with the 93 for the year 1893. The A&M factory made her for COD!
Please enjoy her! if you have any more questions I will be glad to look for you.
