Bioshock Big Daddy Doll: What can I use for the body?

I’m making a big daddy doll and I’m modeling it off the NECA one, but I don’t know what I can use for the body.

Well my friends and I used two different methods for creating the body:

1) You can use a regular doll’s body and just rip off the the limbs replacing them with the rope and legs

2) But my friend used a balloon and filled it with cotton. I personally like the other way better but they both look good.
