DS lite. Barbie and the 12 dancing princesses?? My daughter cant get out of the clock tower!?

I have been trying to help my daughter move on with this game. Everyone in the family has tried this but it seems impossible! There is a part in the clock tower which barbie is meant to jump up over a high wall but we cant seem to do it!!! I know this sounds crazy but we would really appreciate some help………….thanks
