Moms, what do you think of Tattoo Barbie?
Mattel now has “Totally Stylin’ Tattoo Barbie,” she comes with 40 temporary tattoos for girl or doll and a tattoo gun. This is real, not a prank.
Would you buy it for your daughter, or for yourself?
I personally love it. Finally Barbie has some moxie! I have tattoos and my kids look forward to the day they turn 18 and can get some too. My daughter would enjoy it if she were younger, but now I’d just buy it for myself as a collector’s item.
No, I’m not a rebellious teenybopper, I’m 40, my oldest tat is 22 years old, my newest 2 years. I’m no “trailer-trash” either, I have two degrees and work in a professional environment wearing heels, pencil skirts, blouses, etc. No one knows about my tats unless I go out of my way to show them. Which I occasionally do, if someone asks.
I believe that body modifications are basically becoming the “norm”. I had my collar bone pierced 4 times and eventually retired it because it kept abscessing; but I’m getting the area tattooed with my now deceased horse’s name (along with his dates on my shoulder blade. horrific riding accident, long story).
However, there is a line that needs to be drawn. I mean, you won’t see Lizard Man as the CEO of Chevron, but that’s not to say he wouldn’t do a good job, it’s just companies have a reputation to uphold. As long as the modifications can be covered, I don’t see a problem with them.
Wow, that sounds scattered. Long day, haha.
