For parents, I have a toy question for you?
Hi moms and dads! I’m a designer new to working on roleplay toys for girls. These include costumes, plastic tea sets, play kitchens…you get the idea.
Here is my question for you…when you buy one of these types of items for your child, does she like a lot of character art labels (ex. pictures of Barbie on all the plates and tea cups) on the toy, or does she go for decoration that looks more real like what mommy has?
I would say no character. My kids were never really into a single character. Sure, my son loves the “cars” movie, but do I want it on everything he own? No. Also, you hope that a “tea set” oulives your childs fascination with Dora or Barney. So, some things with characters are good, but not everything!
