my boyfriend tries to change my appearance is that wrong?

I believe that i dress normal,not over-dressed or under-dressed,on a regular basis.But since the beginning of our relationship he has been trying to make me change as if into this life size barbie doll,I wouldn’t mind changing THAT much if at least I had the income but at this time I don’t. But I also beleive that the outside shouldn’t matter and that I love myself just the way I am so tha’s my reason for not wanting to change but he insists that it’s for my own good!What should I do?Try to change or leave him?He is a controlive man who has been trying to change & manipulate other areas of my life too!

If he does not like you the way you are then why is he with you? If you think it is bad now it will get worse if you marry him. You deserve someone who values you for who you are. This behavior is a red flag for abuse and control freak. Be careful. And this is not for your own good, it is to feed his sick ego.
