if barbie was though about as a WEAPON !? open for explaination*?
well you see, if you didnt know: barbie was actually designed by a man named Jack Ryan. who previously designed missiles and stuff for the war. & in that time barbie was designed, it was also the feminist movement! so what i am asking is your opinion on how barbie could be considered a weapon?
which leading into others questions like::: who was the target? what was the war? how was the weapon used? by whom it was used by?
I could be used as a weapon against the feminist movement because Barbie sort of seems to reinforce stereotypical traits and values of women. The target was on innocent openminded little girls to keep them on track to be the “typical woman” when they grow up (worry about shopping, cooking, etc) The war was on feminism. The weapon was used by those against the feminist movement. Hope that explains it a bit. I never really began to think about Barbie that way…
